About Dain Reese

For Dain Reese, Centertown Social is a homecoming. His very first job was at Chuck Clark’s, a popular bar on Clemens Square in the early ‘90s. More than thirty years later, he’s back in the same space… this time as the General Manager of Centertown Social.

Dain has been hands-on in shaping every detail of this project, from working with architects to bringing the space back to life after years of vacancy. His vision is simple: create a place that celebrates Elmira’s history while building something vibrant for its future.

With Centertown Social, Dain hopes to spark new energy downtown and give the community a welcoming space to gather for food, drinks, games, and live entertainment, right in the heart of the city he calls home.

Centertown Social is made possible through the vision and commitment of Capriotti Properties, a local development company dedicated to revitalizing Elmira. When the long-vacant space at Clemens Square came up for sale in 2022, Capriotti Properties saw not just an empty building, but an opportunity to invest in the heart of downtown and give it new life.
